Study 5:  Resident's views of living with and without community wind in Ireland and Canada - interviews

Summary

This study involves six comparative case studies involving matched communities in Ontario, Nova Scotia, and Ireland. Two communities have been selected at each site, one community with and one community without a strong community-based development model. Study 5 is inductive and qualitative employing in-depth interviews with stakeholders in the paired communities. These studies will be exploratory, to build on existing concepts and to develop new ones that explain the variety of meanings (perceptions, attitudes) and practices surrounding turbines and strong community wind development; particularly how these differ between stakeholders and across sites.
